So we're heading off to Los Angeles for AWP2016 next week, and we've got big plans for our Bookfair table, #435, as well as our off-site event, co-hosted with Grist, at BottleRock on Friday night.

Don't miss out on the IHLR Derby! Place your "bets": we've got six horses, running every half hour. Race your favorite writers: we'll announce our guest jockies and their race times soon. Collect your prizes afterward: free books by our guest jockies, free subscriptions, those beloved IHLR sticky notes, and Submittable passes for IHLR.

If you're not the "racy" kind, don't let that stop you. Come say hello. Tell us about your work. Nab some candy if you're hungry and swipe our business card, which lists next year's submission dates as well as two free submission days and the pass code to take advantage of them.

Friday night, at 7:30, we'll host an off-site reading with Grist at BottleRock at 1050 S. Flower (entrance on 11th). We'll be featuring Nicole Brown, Brian Clifton, Elizabeth Horneber, Jessica Jacobs, Alyssa Jewell, Fabienne Josaphat, and Kirk Wisland. BottleRock offers a terrific menu, and our party has its own waiter and bartender. Join us for good drinks, yummy food, and talented writers.
