the IHLR long story

 

 

For near a decade, the IHLR Long Story was known as the IHLR Trifecta, and it included three e-singles every summer: one long poem, one long essay, and one long story--those marathon-long manuscripts it is difficult to place in traditional print journals because they simply don't have the space to devote to lengthy manuscripts.

​

Today, the IHLR Long Story features only one long story, essay, memoir, or brief novella, but is still released as an e-single during the month of June--just in time for beach reads and in-flight amusement or sitting inside under the AC.
